I want to wish my momma a very Happy Mother's Day! She is a mother that continues to give me strength in my own parenting and is a reminder in perseverance. I was born in the year that abortion sadly became legal in the US, and she chose to have me. She loves being a Mimi to my kids, and has become a very good friend to me.
Last month we lost my Grandma Nancy (also pictured with Momma above), her momma. I do not have very many memories with my Grandma as we weren't as close as she was to my cousins, but I know she loved me, and I loved her. She died on the day of her 71st wedding anniversary ~ and was reunited with my Grandpa AND Jesus on that special day! A beautiful testimony to how intimate God is with us.
I will be returning to some of my former blogging favorites such as Menu Plan Monday and Five Minute Friday, as well as a few treasures here and there in between!
For Mother's Day this year I am going to visit my momma for a little bit this afternoon. Tomorrow is a morning in worship, and then for the sweet loves (and the big one) that indeed make me a momma ~ I am going to enjoy being the mom and wife that God allowed me to be! No looking for special treatment ~ but instead serving in a way that shows my adoration for the high position calling of MOM (and wife).
