Menu Plan: Jan 31 ~ Feb 7

Photobucket

It has been a while since I took the time to initially sit and plan out the week's menu. Why? I guess I allowed the time of doing it (all of 30 minutes max) deter me from comitting. Silly me! I am so glad though that I have taken the time, to take a peek into our week ahead. With dh switching to nightshift, this is one thing I NEEDED to know and have planned out. I realize how irresponsible it is to not take this little chunk of time. It really saves time later on, AND  helps to relieve the need for takeout. Plus you can totally plan a lot of variety into your menu. I am not one of those who has to have what she is craving at that very moment or I rip the head of anyone who speaks to me. So if i get a craving, it is easy to just pop it into the next week's menu. Or, if it is that bad, I CAN add it, and just trade out another meal in it's place.

Now before you look into our menu, I must explain that I pack the kid's lunches (as well as mine and dh's) throughout the week. I don't include those in my menu planning. In our home, Sunday is always a day for dessert!

I have baked 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies this afternoon to fill that cookie jar! It sure helps out in the lunches, and for a snack for kids after school. Dont' worry. My kids do eat lots of fruits and raw veggies as snacks too. I promise!

What yummy goodness have you got planned?
