I've been doing the same thing lately. First grocery trip of the week, usually M or T, I grab the cuts of meat and veggies that are on sale, and whatever else I'm craving at the moment, at least 1-2 dinner's worth of fish, and then menu it out, making a second trip on W to buy the rest. By the weekend I usually run out of fruit so it's canned fruit by then if I can't make it to the shops again. Hmmmm...
