Good Sunday friends! I know I have been absent from the blog quite a bit lately but now that things have settled down schedule wise for the most part, I am returning to regular blogging. In fact here is something I shared on One Pretty Little Box's Facebook page on Saturday evening:
This is a huge commitment but it is working towards a big goal of mine. I know many of you have pretty much thought I was done blogging ~ but that is not the case! Now... on to sweet word Sunday!
Thanks is defined as an expression of gratitude. In other words, another way to say Thank You.
I am coming to a new place in my life where I am seeing fruit! I am seeing things and living experiences that I have never been able to before all because of that expression. Well. honestly it is a verbal expression of Thank you Thank you Thank you! Yes, three times! I learned that in the book The Magic by Rhonda Byrne. She shares that saying thank you three times is also a magic formula because it is the mathematical number of all new creation in the Universe.
I am ever amazed at how it feels to have an experience and be able to follow it up immediately with gratitude. This morning , I saw a baby bunny ~ out in the middle of no where yet I saw it! I immediately said "Thank you thank you thank you for allowing me to see such a precious creature." Then on the drive back into the neighborhood, a small baby cardinal flew right in front of me. Again I say "Thank you thank you thank you for seeing that sweet baby!". The more I express Thanks, the more opportunities and experiences I receive to continue in gratitude. Here is another quote from The Magic:
If you practice gratitude a little, your life will change a little. If you practice gratitude a lot every day, your life will change dramatically and in ways that you can hardly imagine.
Thanks. A simple practice, yet so few do it. I am committed in this life of Thanks. Thank you Thank you Thank you for the comforts of Sunday. A quiet day. A slow day. A day to spend time on writing and cooking. Thank you thank you thank you that all my needs, wants, and desires are met so abundantly and perfectly.
No matter your faith ~ you can find motivation to give thanks.
Kind David spoke of giving thanks to the whole world, for everything between Heaven and Earth.
Jesus said thank you before he performed each miracle.
Lao Tzu said that if you rejoice in the way things are, the whole world will belong to you.
Krishna said that whatever he is offered he accepts with joy.
Buddha said that you have no cause for anything but gratitude and joy.
Is it a coincidence that in every single faith ~ even that of no faith ~ there is the universal law of gratitude and the understanding of it's importance? The words "Thank you" can open up doors of opportunities, and heal relationships.
And... it doesn't take much effort. Did you know once you start saying Thank you, and truly express that feeling of gratitude that your stress levels automatically go down? Anxiety eases up? Your body begins to heal from the inside out? Try it and see for yourself!
