This morning I have been in a state of worship. A form of worship that is deep within. The kind that arises up out of nowhere and just takes over. The kind of worship that can't be created on our own doing. The kind of worship that is pure and the only motive around is that of purity. For me, there is one element that can help bring this about. Music.
Today I am thankful for music. Music moves me in many ways. It will pull me out of a slump, get me moving, relax me, and reminds me of the simple life that I desire. I love all kinds of music. Christian, 80's rock, Love songs, Instrumental both contemporary and classical, pop, Gospel, country, kids, etc. You name it, I have listened to it, am listening to it, or it's on my list of listening too soon. Music is a big motivator for me. I would much rather have music playing rather then the TV. I also listen to podcasts, bible chats, etc.... again much more then I watch TV lately.
Here are some of my favorites:
Journey
Maroon 5
Hillsong
Taylor Swift
David Crowder Band
Chicago
Jim Brickman
Toby Mac
George Strait
Frank Sinatra
Carrie Underwood
This list could go on and on, but you get the gist! I am thankful for the variety, and the many ways we are able to hear and listen. Pandora is one of my favorite apps on the phone and on my computer!
