KISS: Even when faced with Chaos

Kiss: The week ahead

This week will truly be a testament to my goal of keeping things simple, and living in contentment! While it is easy to "keep things simple" there are certain situations in life that also give us a curve ball and have to adjust quickly to a new "normal" even if just for a few days. This week for sure is one of those times. (If your curious, just hang tight ~ "Operation Hush" will be revealed tomorrow evening at 8pm (Central time) here on the blog!)

So, in those times of chaos, how do you keep things simple?

1. Do what you like, even if only for five minutes. This could be reading at night, soaking in a hot  foamy bath, going for a run, what ever. If you know that through it all at the end of the day you will still have that chance ~ it gets you through the tough moments.

2. Plan easy meals! Knowing that this week will be crazy ~ I am spending a bit of time baking a ham, and making a few extra special yummies. This one meal will be one that fortifies the next few nights. Then, it will be quick and easy fixes for a few days after that. By next Sunday, it will be another good home cooked fortifying meal for everyone.
She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. Proverbs 31: 15
3. Breath, and realize this isn't forever, just for a time!! February always seems to be one of those "slow and quiet" months, and the good news is February hasn't come and gone! It's still ahead of us!

She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. Proverbs 31:17

4. Remember to laugh, love, and embrace the moments as they come. This will pass, and there will be moments worth remembering in this journey!

See you all soon, and remember as you go through your days to grab ahold of the KISS and enjoy the life before you!
