Sometimes you HAVE to think "outside" the box ... (haha) when it comes to new desserts to wow your family. Well, I do! Anyway, I have this thing for strawberry flavored things, and brownies so why NOT combine the two?
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Brownies
Ingredients
1 box Pillsbury Strawberry Cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
1 Box Pillsbury Brownie Mix (13x9 size)
2eggs
1/2 cup of oil
1/3 cup of water
1 container of Strawberry Icing
1 cup chocolate Chips
In a bowl, mix the cake mix with 2 eggs and 1/3 cup of oil. This will be very thick. Spread and press into a sprayed (with Baker's Joy or Pam) 13x9 pan. In a separate bowl, mix brownie mix with 2 eggs, 1/2 cup of oil, and 1/3 cup of water. Pour and spread on top of strawberry layer. Bake in a 350* oven for 45 minutes (turning 1/2 way through to ensure even baking). Allow to cool. Spread 1/2 a container of strawberry frosting and sprinkle with chocolate chips. (A cream cheese frosting with fresh strawberries would be great on top too!)
